Artist's Comments
A section of my final for Photointaglio, composed of six photopolymer plates, each approx. 16" x 23" on full sheets of either St. Armand handmade watercolor or Special Etching, or Arches watercolor paper (sheets approx. 22" x 30").
Three plates are from single (positive) film exposures, three are from variations of the films layered in pairs. The plates are developed in water, then inked like intaglio plates, and run through an etching press. The imperfections in the sky are probably a cause of the exposure unit and its vacuuming system with an improperly fitted shim between it and the film/plate. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
